You are probably caught up in this game of never aging and looking absolutely stunning at any given moment in time and life. And it’s not your fault, really – the media is keeping us all entangled in their wisely and carefully knitted web of illusions and false promises, so how are we not to fall for it all!
Wanting to stay forever young is the ultimate goal, isn’t it? But if I told you it’s possible to achieve it without undergoing any plastic surgery or spending tones of money on various creams promising you ever-lasting beauty and no wrinkles? It would be amazing, wouldn’t it!
The key to this actually happening is really simple and it’s achieved without spending lots of time, energy, or money.
The first step to staying young is understanding your spirit, mind and body are interconnected. Think about it – what’s the use of having a young 20-year-old body if your spirit and mind have grown old?
Basically, staying young wouldn’t be worthwhile if you weren’t able to achieve the balance of all three. So, the question is – how do we get to a point of this balance of spirit, mind and body?
All you need to do is follow through simple guidelines and do your best to incorporate it into your busy, everyday life.
These steps will bring results almost immediately, that is – if practiced consistently. Their purpose is to help us lead happier, healthier and longer lives. Once you start practicing them, you should make the best of it and have fun! Trying to stay young isn’t something complicated or serious, and it’s definitely not an aspect of your life you should treat as a chore. Enjoy the process, and you are already more than halfway there!
A smile can solve all your day problems! It may seem like a lot of nonsense saying something like that and expecting everyone to understand it and believe it but when you think about it – it’s true. Just take some time to look yourself in the mirror when smiling… doesn’t it look wonderful? When you smile, you automatically feel better. There’s nothing more young looking and more beautiful than a face with a smile. Once you let that beauty radiate from you, your body will receive a signal of happiness and youth and you’ll look wonderful!
Laughing is the best medicine in the world! With the busy lives we lead, we get stressed so many times in a day that we almost forget about laughing altogether. So, spend as much time as you can with people who make you laugh, watch comedy shows, funny movies… do things that trigger laughter in you and you’ll see how amazing you’ll feel!
3. Eat less, yet fresh
Even though portions in restaurants and fast food joints are getting bigger and bigger every day (and for pretty little money), you should know that no matter how tempting it may be to eat that super tasty looking jumbo-sized meal, you should give your best and change it for something more healthy. Eat lean meats, vegetables and fruits, drink a lot of water and you’ll see what an improvement this’ll be on both your figure and your overall health. Eating good is a perfect recipe for staying young!
Exercising is not only a wonderful way to get your body in shape but it’s a safe way into energizing your whole body and freeing your mind from all stress that piles up during the day. Unfortunately, staying motivated tends to be a challenge so try to find it deep in you, the reason why you started working out in the first place. If you find it hard to get regular exercise, then go for long walks to get relaxed and free your mind. Even a funny exercise like a jumping castle will be an amazing stress relief and a way to break a sweat!
Socializing with your friends and family is an excellent way to keep your mind active and alive. Interaction and communication with other people is a superb form of mental exercise! If, for some reason, you don’t get to meet a lot of new people, maybe you should think about attending a local meeting, joining a club, a book discussion group, etc. Socializing helps you stay young and it’s always a lot of fun!
See? Staying young is a matter of body, mind and spirit – that is – of perfect balance of the three. So, do your best to nurture your inner-self and you’ll never get old!
